Help text and messages
The following wording is embedded in this screen. It describes interface guidance, rather than independently verified system guarantees.
- Bring stock in that no purchase created — opening balances, stock found on count, production output. Posts Dr Inventory / Cr Stock Adjustment Gain at the cost you state.
- Take stock out that no sale consumed — damage, expiry, shrinkage, internal consumption. Posts Dr Stock Adjustment Loss / Cr Inventory at the batch cost.
- Posting date decides the financial period. It is fixed once the adjustment has posted.
- Note for this step (optional)
- Leave blank to use the item’s standard cost.
- Bins are a printed instruction; stock is held per warehouse.
- An adjustment never touches revenue or cost of sales: finding stock is not a sale, and writing it off is not a cost of sale.
Verification still required
